Norwegian Cruise Line - Free cruise Fare for 3rd+ guests!

This amazing "Kids Sail Free" offer is back from Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL)!  Pay the full fare for the first two passengers in the stateroom and any other guests (even if they're not kids) up to the maximum occupancy, sail free!  There are still governmental taxes and port charges that each passenger pays but this is still a great deal!  Especially so for families with 2-4 kids!  Some of the Norwegian ships have two room family suite cabins which can accommodate 6 passengers allowing you to get four free!  I should also mention, there are a few high end suites that can accommodate up to 8 passengers but I've found that because the base price for the first two passengers is so high, and the bedding situation is not ideal, it's not as big of a value.

In addition to this "Kids Sail Free" offer, Norwegian is offering a choice of various free perks which include the Ultimate Dining Package, Ultimate Beverage Package and Ship Board Credit up to $300.

Norwegian Kids Sail Free Plus Bonus Offers
I took advantage of this great offer last year when six of my family booked a two bedroom family suite on the Norwegian Pearl.  This was my first time getting the luxurious experience of a suite on board a cruise ship!  And what a luxury it was - I felt very spoiled!  This is a Must Do if you love cruising and you have more kids than would normally fit into a single cabin.  We also brought along my mom.  The bed situation worked out perfectly for us as we had our three kids in the bedroom that was situated like an inside cabin and my mom got the bed on the couch in the living area where she could have access to the balcony.
It can take a little extra research to find the right cruise, cabin, itinerary, sailing date and cabin availability.  If you are looking for the Two Bedroom Family Suites, keep our eye our for Norwegian's Jewel class of cruise ship which includes the Jewel, Pearl, Gem and Jade ships.

The Two Bedroom Family suite is also offered on the secluded top deck called The Haven.  The Haven is similar to a boutique hotel experience which are private access cabins on the top deck centered around a courtyard and pool.  Be prepared for a price premium for The Haven cabins of approximately $500-$1000 more per person for the 1st and 2nd guests.  All other Haven perks, such as butler service and afternoon canapes are the same as what's offered in the suites on the regular decks.

Here are some of my photos from our Two Bedroom Family Suite aboard the Norwegian Pearl.

  1. Wow, this almost makes me want to cruise with NCL instead of Disney

  2. Norwegian isn't my favorite cruise line but our experience was a lot better than I expected! Maybe because we had the suite. ;) I do have to give some major props to their bread pudding with caramel sauce. It was seriously divine. I should have chosen it as my dessert for every meal instead of venturing out and being less impressed. *drool*

We haven't gone on a Disney cruise yet because of how much more the Disney price premium is! Maybe one day, we'll win a small lottery prize and it'll justify the extra cost. *crosses fingers*
